We are led by my dear Prince Charming. He is, corny as it may sound, the wind beneath my wings. There are days that I simply can not take another step, wipe another tear, cook another meal, and my Prince comes in to rescue me every single time...without fail. He is the spiritual leader of our home and does his best to guide us closer to Jesus. He is a strong man. Quiet, but strong. Someday I'll tell you about how we met and fell in love, but for now, just know that we did.
Following closely in his footsteps, is yours truly. Being the photographer in the family, there are not many good pics of me, but this one will do for now. I stay at home with my kiddos. Two of them are in school, the other three are just a bit too small for that still. Once all of our adoptions are finalized, we plan on homeschooling. For now, though, I'm enjoying evenings with the two older ones as much as I can.
Our 8 year old son is Muscles. Muscles has been with us since May of 2010. He has a strong heart. He has been through far too much in his short life. He can be difficult to live with at times, but aren't we all. He would walk through fire for his family, even though he's not certain that his family is his FOREVER family.
Next in line for the throne is Protector. Protector is 4, going on 41. He has lived with us since February of 2009. He spent the first 2 years of his life caring for and protecting his baby brother. It has made him grow up very fast. He is a little McGyver, and can solve any problem if given enough time. He is always looking for ways to serve others in need. So much heart in that little body.
My little Cuddlebug is a mere 3 years old. He is Protector's biological brother. This little boy holds my heart in the palm of his hand. He will let me hug on him long after the other kids are off to more entertaining things. He cares for his baby sister in ways that I never knew a little boy could. He's going to be an amazing husband and daddy some day.
Next is our beautiful, 3 year old Princess. She is bio-sister to Muscles, and has been with us since he has. She will never walk into a room unnoticed. Her mouth has a built in megaphone. There is no volume switch on her anywhere. She has never met a stranger in her life. She would make friends with a rock if it would just sit still long enough. She is tougher than any of the boys, when it comes to bumps, bruises, or any minor injury... or major injury come to think of it. Oh, but she is ALL girl, and will not hesitate to make sure you know that she is the princess.
